Deleting your YouFarm account
How to close your YouFarm account and what happens to your information

You can ask us to close your YouFarm account and delete the personal information associated with it at any time. YouFarm is a product of Grant Scientific Ltd.
This page explains how to make the request, and what is and is not removed.
How to request deletion
By email. Write to privacy@mail.youfarmstudio.ca from the address your YouFarm account is registered to, with the subject "Delete my account". Sending from your registered address lets us confirm the request is really from you. If you cannot, we will verify your identity another way before acting.
You do not need to reinstall the app or contact your employer first before making this request.
What happens next
- We confirm receipt within 2 business days.
- Because YouFarm accounts are provisioned by the organization you work for, we notify your organization's YouFarm administrator that the account is being closed. This is an access-management step — they are not asked to approve or veto your request.
- Your sign-in is disabled and your personal information is deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
- We email you to confirm when it is done.
What is deleted, and what is kept

| Your support correspondence | Kept while the matter is open and for a limited period afterwards, then deleted — the same terms stated in Privacy Policy §9. We keep it to handle any follow-up on the same issue; it is not used for anything else. |
| Agronomic records — growers, farms, fields, boundaries, soil-sampling jobs, samples, and recommendations | Retained. These records belong to the organization you worked for, not to you personally, and deleting them would destroy that organization's business records and their customers' agronomic history. Where such a record identifies you as the person who created or sampled it, that attribution is anonymized. |
| Security and access logs | Kept for a limited period, then deleted. We keep these to investigate security incidents; they are not used for any other purpose. |
| Records of a privacy breach | Retained for 24 months, as Canadian law requires. |

If you want the agronomic records themselves deleted, that request has to come from the organization that owns them. Tell us and we will point you to the right contact, and we will act on their instruction.
Changed your mind?
Tell us before the deletion is carried out and we will cancel the request. Once your information is deleted it cannot be recovered, and a new account would have to be requested by your organization.
